A-1 School of Driving, voted Yakima’s #1 Driving School, is your go-to location for all your DOL testing needs.
All services must be registered for in person.
Knowledge Test (Written Test)
—————————-Costs $30 per attempt, and will be done digitally with one of our devices. NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED! Walk in and ask to take your knowledge (written) test during our regular hours, at least one hour before close.
————————————————————Costs $65 per attempt if you choose to drive an A-1 vehicle; $40 per attempt if you choose to drive your own car. (You must have valid registration and proof of insurance, all the lights, including the 3rd brake light, must be in good working order, and there can be no severe cracks in the glass). This test is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You must have passed your knowledge (written) test already to be able to take your skills (drive) test.

Driver’s Education Courses
Drives with an Instructor
————————————————— $65 per hour of in-car lessons with one of our instructors. $525 for 10 hours of in-car instruction. You can buy one hour, or multiple, and use the time however you’d like. Most people use this time to ask about what kinds of maneuvers are on the test and how to accomplish them. Some people use this time to become generally better drivers, to prepare for the test.
